Yoga for scoliosis - Be very careful 
Avoid the following positions, which can be harmful: 

back bending 

Torso rotation 

lateral bending 

shoulder stand 
Christa Lecher-Crotch explains posing to avoid: 

"Many of the problems that my mother Katarina Crotch and live in some of our patients come from well-intentioned but therapeutic anti-exercise used to be practiced in Germany programs. In some cases, patients had done wrong exercises for years before coming to our clinic and his condition was much worse and more difficult and time consuming to correct, as if they had done any exercise at all. 

Therefore, I note with great concern that many of these exercises are now very popular in yoga, and some are even recommended by yoga teachers that scoliosis exercises. While often they are very positive for normal body exercises found on this page - or similar - to hurt our patients with scoliosis. 
Yoga was not designed for scoliosis, like our exercises. Each year the Crotch scoliosis was established empirically in our clinic to treat a specific problem that our patients had. The complex musculoskeletal configuration of all scoliosis cases is necessary to consider carefully observe all the possible ramifications of each year, so that everyone both achieve the desired effect and not create undesirable secondary problems. 

It is very important not only to do a series of exercises, but to achieve a specific goal of rehabilitation with each exercise. 

C.VIII.1 section of my book is dedicated to highlighting the exercises that should be avoided by people with scoliosis. Some of these exercises are described here. 

Scoliosis generally avoid: 

back bending 

Torso rotation 

lateral bending 

Fold the rib cage 

shoulder stand 

1) Avoid bending backwards with upper trunk 

Doubling back scoliosis it is strictly prohibited in all starting positions, as it will increase both the lumbar and thoracic lordships. back-bend positions and increase the previous corner lumbar lordships without diminishing the hump simultaneously. 

Forbidden backward bending yoga exercises for scoliosis: 

Cobra - Huang or Nag-lasagna works Cobra lordships, hiring the lumbar spine, although the head is pulled back. The neck is bent here, while not Crotch neck bent back, but the head and neck back upright moves. Cobra also an overload for abdominal muscles. 
Half pipe - Ada Chandra 
The problems are the same as the charged - by increasing lordships and neck flexion. The only difference is the standing position. 

Bow Pose - Honduras 
This exercise increases the lumbar lordships. It's bad for scoliosis. 

Camel - Australian 
The same problem: overstretching the abdominal muscles, promote lumbar lordships, neck bent too far. The carotid artery is narrowed. 

Rued - Chakras or Buddha Honduras 
See the above warnings for archery, camel, cobra, and half pipe. important principles are the same. tilt back abnormal increases lordships. 

Locust - Alabamian 
This exercise increases the lumbar lordships. It might be useful for hypnosis, but must be tested. 
The king of dance - Maharaja-lasagna 
The king of dance is excellent for a normal body, but not for scoliosis. It would be inappropriate to do either left or right. When the leg on the side of the hump is thrown back, it would be good for strengthening the back muscles. However, the leg is raised too high, so that the contraction of lumbar muscles, rather than being forced to bear weight, as in the cylinder Crotch muscular exercise. 

Scorpion - Trichinas 
This position is very eccentric, but interesting for normal body. It is not recommended for scoliosis. 

3) Avoid bending the front, side or back of the ribcage 

This would aggravate the existing form scoliosis of the spine. 

Try to open the main scoliosis curve between the dorsal and lumbar push the upper body in the same direction due to the lumbar curve. The caudal part of the thoracic curve goes in the same direction as the head of the lumbar curve. Therefore, the two curves results in the spinal cord each other and form a row that has an oblique rightward direction. 

lateral curve - Ada Chandra 
This is similar to one of the Swedish counterproductive exercises untwist, we were used to seeing. A patient of scoliosis performing this exercise would in the existing curve and rising. It is not recommended, even if done then in the opposite direction. 

The pure reversal of a cranial curve is ineffective or poorly if the flow curve is magnified in the process. The movements on the side should never be bending movements: the body should be tilted, but still had the right hip in combination with breathing guided angular rotation. 

Triangle - Tritons 
To be completely avoided in scoliosis, because here the shoulder girdle is twisted against the pelvic girdle and the central section (which creates a hump) should follow after the more comfortable side. 

Other exercises for scoliosis twist inappropriate 

Barnard - Sitting twist 

Sage twist - Marihuana

Sun salutation 
In the yoga sun salutation usually carried out alternately with several other exercises, so that an involuntary movement is canceled by a better one. It is good for normal organs, and is a fun exercise to do. However, for scoliosis, we must focus on our goal. 

4) Other adverse exercises for scoliosis 

shoulder stand - Savannas 
The head on his shoulder stand pose is heavily tilted forward, which is an overhead for the neck muscles. It will also promote cervical hypnosis. Moreover, the entire body weight rests on the shoulders, and greatly enhance the formation of a hump. 

Instead of bending of the head, Crotch provides not only the head on the body of the center (standing), but also a little behind. Therefore Crotch scoliosis exercises are just the opposite of it.
